TINUBU URGES NIGERIANS TO PRESERVE NATIONAL UNITY THROUGH DIALOGUE

August 12, 2026

President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to uphold the unity of the country despite their differences, stressing that dialogue remains essential to sustaining Nigeria as a united nation.

Tinubu, represented by the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, made the call on Tuesday at the International Conference on Security and National Unity.

The conference was organised by Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah in collaboration with the Muslim World League.

The President said his administration remained committed to addressing the country’s security challenges and promoting peace, both nationally and globally.

He also emphasised the importance of collaboration with other nations in tackling security threats and building a safer and more peaceful world.

Tinubu urged Nigerians to embrace dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation, stressing that the country’s diversity should be a source of strength rather than division.
