TINUBU APPROVES RECRUITMENT OF 1,000 FOREST GUARDS IN OYO

President Bola Tinubu has approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in Oyo State as part of renewed efforts to tackle rising insecurity in the region.
He also directed a specialised security unit with advanced rescue capabilities to intensify operations aimed at securing the release of abducted pupils and teachers from three schools in Oriire Local Government Area.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Union of Teachers has declared an indefinite strike in Oyo State and announced plans for nationwide solidarity rallies, following the continued captivity of the victims, according to a statement by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga.
