Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has expressed his condolences over the death of the Publisher of Eagle Online Newspaper, Dotun Oladipo.

Oladipo, a former President of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP), died on Tuesday after a brief illness. He was 56.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Governor Oyebanji described Oladipo’s death as a great loss to Nigeria’s media industry.

The governor said the country had lost one of its finest and most talented journalists, describing the late publisher as a vibrant, articulate and versatile professional.

Oyebanji noted that Oladipo made significant contributions to the media industry through his intellect, hard work and professionalism, particularly in informing, educating and entertaining Nigerians.

He commiserated with the deceased’s family, colleagues, friends and the wider media community, praying for strength and comfort for those mourning his passing.
