NNPC EARLY RETIREMENT SCHEME ATTRACTS OVER 70% OF ELIGIBLE STAFF

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has begun an early retirement programme that is reportedly generating strong interest among staff. According to officials, over 70 per cent of eligible employees have already expressed willingness to take part in the voluntary exit arrangement.


The scheme, which includes both the Accelerated Exit Scheme and the Voluntary Exit Scheme, is being presented as a voluntary and non-coercive reform. The company says the initiative is aimed at supporting its long-term transformation agenda by improving operational efficiency and creating opportunities for younger professionals to join the workforce.
