ADELEKE WINS OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION WITH 511,067 VOTES

Accord candidate and incumbent Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has won the Osun State governorship election with 511,067 votes, defeating his closest challenger, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner after the collation of results from all 30 local government areas in the state.
Adeleke won by a margin of 66,252 votes, securing another four-year mandate after a closely contested election.
The governor recorded victories in several local government areas, while the APC candidate also emerged victorious in a number of councils during the poll.
The result gives Adeleke a second term in office as governor of Osun State.
