ADELEKE DECLARES PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR PVC COLLECTION AHEAD OF OSUN POLL
July 28, 2026
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared Tuesday a public holiday to enable civil servants and other public workers to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) ahead of the end of the collection exercise.
The governor said the work-free day is intended to encourage public servants to fulfil their civic responsibility ahead of the forthcoming governorship election and future elections in the state. Workers on essential duties, including medical and security personnel, were advised to make necessary arrangements to ensure uninterrupted services.
Adeleke urged all registered voters to collect their PVCs without delay, describing the voter’s card as a vital tool for participating in the electoral process and shaping the future of the state.
