Fourteen of the 22 registered political parties in Osun State have elected a new executive committee for the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC). The election, held in Osogbo on Monday, was conducted through affirmation and monitored by journalists.

Chairman of the Democratic Leadership Alliance, Tosin Odeyemi, emerged as the new Osun IPAC Chairman, while Prof. Adigun Adepeju of the African Democratic Congress was elected Deputy Chairman. Other elected officers include Araoye Kazeem as Secretary, Adesuyi Olufemi as Publicity Secretary and Mustapha Muideen as Treasurer.

Also elected were Dr. Gbenga Afeni as Organising Secretary, Waheed Adediran as Legal Adviser, Tayo Adeyemi as Financial Secretary and Adebayo Olasunkanmi as Deputy Secretary. Chairmen of several political parties attended the election, with Ezekiel Ayoola of the National Democratic Party serving as Chairman of the Electoral Committee.
